Karate for kids
Sensei Matt Powell has been teaching children since the year 2000 and has a unique approach to his classes. Since starting Petersfield Karate in 2009 Matt has trained and developed a team of assistant instructors who share his passion for contribution.
Children will learn self-discipline and respect in a fun and safe environment. Fitness, coordination and confidence are all improved because of diligent training. Many of the Senior class started as children and have developed into capable Martial Artists.
Our club are founding members of the Applied Karate Association who host two regional competitions a year for the children to compete in. Those who show willing and promise can also take advantage of the association’s competition squad classes held regularly throughout the year. Acceptance into the squad offers competition opportunity on a National scale.
